Some goofball named Jack the Blogger is trying to call out Senators Baucus and Tester on their use of press announcements regarding the detainment of a film crew that included a Montanan in Nigeria. The crew has already been released, so there’s nothing to worry about here other than the stupid accusations of some dude that uses a picture of himself as a little boy as his online avatar.
Why would Sen. Baucus and Sen. Tester use press relations (alongside at least 10 other members of Congress I might add) to push for the release? Perhaps because it’s one of the oldest methods in the book to press the State Department, companies invested in Nigeria, and the Nigerian government themselves to wake up and realize that the big dogs back in America are paying attention. Read any history of foreign malfeasance involving Americans, the State Department, the CIA, etc… A news release from a Senator is always bad news for the thugs hoping to fly under the radar and means the jig is up. Kudos to Max and Jon.
