Lamnidae

After years of toiling in the comments section of many a Montana blog, I’ve finally decided to jump into the fray. I’m sure many will recognize the weird username as one of the many that I’ve used in recent years in the Montana blogosphere.

As for my anonymity, I unfortunately have the same issue that many fine Montana bloggers do: I’m afraid my employer won’t look fondly upon my participation in public political discussion. If all goes as planned, I’ll be headed to graduate school this fall, and in turn, embarrassing myself personally (and daily) with sentence fragments, typos, and false rumors.

While many of my favorite Montana blogs deal solely with the naturalist theme that still runs strong in the veins of many of us, my blogging heart will be solely dedicated to electing progressive candidates in the coming months. That doesn’t mean that I won’t occasional brag about a fishing trip or remark on something outside of Montana politics.

I sincerely hope to be a worthwhile contributor to our small Montana community, and would be very pleased if a few people stopped by here now and then. Comments are very welcome, and I plan to have a fairly liberal tolerance for speech. Any thoughts from more experienced blog proprietors are welcome — particularly when it comes to the mechanics of lamnidae.com. I’ve cobbled this place together via trial and error, and it’s sure to need a lot of tuning.

And like the heavy spring cutt that I hooked below Maclay Bridge yesterday: we’re off!
