How maddening is this? The Bush admin has somehow bungled the USS Cole bombing inquiry so badly that all defendants convicted as having taken part in the bombing are now free or missing. You’d think we might have have a bit of leverage on a country like Yemen and not let this kind of thing happen? More likely, I’d venture a guess that there are a hell of a lot of frustrated CIA and FBI agents, steaming at the NSC, State Department and other agencies who likely got caught up in the childlike approach to fighting terrorism under this administration.
