I’m a western Montanan with an interest in progressive politics, the outdoors and modern culture. The amount of early disinformation during this latest election cycle is what helped me finally make the decision to enter the Montana blogosphere myself. When Nov. 4th has come and gone, the content around here will shift heavily to observations of nature and culture.
The name Lamnidae (pronounced Lamnid-ee) comes from my favorite family of sharks–an old and elegantly simple family of fish that includes the celebrity white and mako sharks. Resilient, mysterious and fearfully effective with nature’s gifts, these sharks remind me of some of what makes Montana and its people great. Despite having grown up landlocked, these fish haunt and inspire me regularly.
